A great rational reply and nice to know that you and others are aware of our presence on the Nicks forum! i am as others are very uneasy re the VFL home games venue and would be so thrilled at some stage to return to Vic Park and spend some of our hard earned profits on playing back at OUR ground! The gold coast proposal at Carrara to me sounds great especially if it gets us out of playing at rubbish SA and WA venues. May the best President this club has ever had go from strength to strength.

Thanks for posting Ed.... what a difference a word from the Pres makes, There are no doubts you and the rest of the staff have the best interest for our club and ultimately the code. Glad to hear Victoria Park is on your list as well. The vibes are so strong even us European Magpies are on your wavelength. Back in July I took my 11 year old daughter to watch the Pies V,s Cats with over 85,000. In Europe as your probably aware no kids dare go to the stadium. Some of her friends still believe she dreamt it. We have the best game in the world.......

Got to say, listening to SEN yesterday about the Pies Gold Coast rumours, it all seemed a bit un-believable to me. All a bit of a beat up. Nothing like a CFC story to get the talkback up and running on an otherwise dull day in the world of sport/AFL! Wasn't going to believe anything until CFC came out with a statement.

Sooo................ is there a statement (I haven't heard one yet or read the main article (Caro's?) on it, so I may have missed it)? Or is there nothing to say? It's all/mostly rubbish?

Got to say the Mike Sheehan's blurb today was a pathetic dig at you too. Must have nothing to write about. The quality of journalism in AFL is on the rapid decline I must say.

one thing i think we'd all like to know though - could you guarantee us that derek hine, alan richardson & b.scott will not be poached by any of our rivals (i.e. carlton) in the near future? are these guys contracts completely set in stone? do whatever it takes ed - we can't afford to lose any of these blokes, particularly hine, & particularly not to r.pratt & swann.
