Post subject: Challenge CFC Board/Officials - enough is enough | |
|
I call on all CFC members to stop accepting mediocrity and demand ultimate success, b/c at the moment we are the laughing stock of the AFL and I am sick of it.
What i witnessed in last two weeks speak volumes about where the club is at. How is it possible that supporters clap/encourage the players while they are exiting the ground at half time. I am bewildered.
Injuries or no injuries the performances this whole season are unacceptable and the quicker we all and the club realised the better we will be.
Are we not supposed to be the richest club
Are we not supposed to have the best facilities
Are we not supposed to have the best draw
Are we not supposed to have the best coaches/officials
Are we not supposed to have the best analysis in the business
Are we not supposed to have the best of everything
If so why are we the laughing stock the AFL - I AM SICK OF IT
Might be time to take the whole squad to an all day trip to western oval and/or arden street so they all realise how lucky they are??
FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!! and let's all please stop accepting mediocrity |

That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about Whether that's due to the fact she's female. |

Dunno, he's been quiet.
Still, not as muted as Joffa. He won't come on here crowing for a while like he did after the Brisbane game. |

lol, sorry, that comment was aimed at the original poster. PP and Mandy are probably right nevertheless.
Seriously, I am sick of all this purposeless negativity. The coach is past it; the players aren't trying; we aren't doing as well as we hoped; we haven't won a premiership for 19 years.
From what I can see, the purporters of these sentiments fall roughly into three categories:
1) those who have no solutions in mind whatsoever, apart from vague declarations about 'not accepting mediocrity' and 'demanding success'.
2) those who express basic solutions that, regardless of their essential truth, have become little more than hackneyed catch-cries ("sack the coach"/"sack Eddie"/"go up the guts"/"drop players A, B and C"/"establish a winning culture"). I suspect that in many cases the members of this group are proponents of group 1, who, when challenged over vague posts like the first one in this thread, can only propose basic, knee-jerk solutions.
3) those who are capable of assessing whatever it is that is not going right, and are able to propose thought-out and decently constructed solutions. They may or may not support solution/s proposed by group 2, but in such cases where they do, the poster is able to give detailed and intelligent explanations of why they believe their position is correct.
Personally, I have had it up to here with those from groups 1 and 2. We've heard it all before, and we've been hearing it all season. So, I ask the original poster again - what is your solution? Because if you don't have anything else to say, or you cannot vocalise arguments beyond simplistic and cliched refrains, you're wasting everyone's time and bandwidth. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

But you sure as hell do.
You have to have the Black and the White, the light and the dark, so to speak, but if Joffa is a Collingwood extremist in terms of crowing when we win, where's that leave someone like yourself? Absolute opposite.
Need to sift through the posters - someone needs to create the Nicks/Collingwood pendulum. JS at one end, Joffa at the other. |

Ah, the good old bell-shaped curve. Some might suggest that Jack Spain would be the bell-end.

Yawn. The louder they rant about mediocrity the more you know they accept it every morning when they look in the mirror. |

OK, seeing the thread has now turned into a haven for the OPTIMISTS, I will do the right thing, and standing in for our invisible Joffa, I will now tip the Pies to beat West Coast by 178 points, easing up. Happy now ? _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
