Reinforces my view that we won in 2010 because we surprised people. We have lost the element of surprise now and will prosper or fall on our actual football ability. Perhaps that's a good thing.

not because we were the best? Really jack, you are actually trying to make me be ashamed of being a Collingwood supporter aren't you? It's a very transparent agenda

You disgust me. All you ever do on this forum is belittle our achievements. You've finally found a way to try to negatively spin the 2010 Premiership. You are saying we didn't win because we were the best team, no, we won because we surprised the other teams, the inference being they were always better. At the time of the 2010 Premiership you were licking Mick's boots (which you must have really hated you foul hypocrite) but now as usual its a different story. You're not fit to be a Collingwood supporter, if you really are one at all. Your presence here besmirches this forum and all it stands for.

I think this thread deserves to be hijacked - any suggestions for topics?

I'm curious. What does this forum stand for? Is it something? Cos if it isn't, it must be nothing. Never been there of course, it's just what I've heard. But really? What does Nick's stand for? Here's a list off the top of my head:

1. Whinging

17. Incisive commentary about how football should be played
18. Shameless self promotion
19. The KOA
20. Not the KOA
21. Punching out anyone who may or may not be KOA
22. Drunken behaviour

Let's talk about Wildebeest or if you prefer, The Gnu.

What type of person calls a Wildebeest a Gnu?

What type of person calls a Gnu a Wildebeest?

What does Connochaetes gnou think about that? Does he prefer one or the other?

What about Connochaetes taurinus?

Do they even read Latin?

And....

Which game did Ray Gabelich kick the footy into the vat of hot fat in the hot food stall? What ground did that happen in? Cool

Back on topic. I think we will find that we have not had the personnel to effectively implement our press. It really is a 'one-in-all-in' effort that involves a huge amount of risk taking. You need to know that your teammate has your back because it leaves loose men very dangerously around the contest.

The press needs to quick and decisive leaving no chance for overlap and kicking long over the press.

Players like Rounds, Sinclair, Keeffe and Seedsman will be more concerned with what their opponent is up which creates too many weaknesses and we may as well play man on man again. When we can have 18 players all focussed on locking down every contest the press will return in full effect.

I starting to not even bother reading Jack Spain's posts. I am learning to simply scroll down past them.

He is in the extreme end of the human minority who do not have optimism bias. Hiss and Jack are spoiling this forum with their whinging and complete negativity.

Hey Jack, if you are a supporter, start supporting. Do some volunteer work for our great club. Help man the membership tents or something and do something POSITIVE for a change.
