Fantastic effort by the Club and Players.
With all the difficulties over the second half of the year, we are still in the finals.
We have a fantastic young list.

The Club is in a terrific hands both on and off the field.

We can look forward to many years of finals action

Congrats Pies for getting into the finals this year when all odds were against us 3-4 weeks ago! It'll be a great experience for the kids who haven't played finals before.

Spot on...one bad game in a month where we had a team seriously lacking experience is hardly reason to think the season is doomed.

Looking forward to seeing MM challenge the players this week to put in a big effort next week.

Getting finals experience into the young players can only be a positive.

Well done to Collingwood for making the 2008 Finals series
To the players admin people coaching folk and of course us supporters..well done.

Let me reflect for a moment..Please stay with me i know i tend to rant a bit these days..its an age thing Wink

I have never ever noticed a year like this year. The year our club has come under attack the way that it has from media and football people in general, One gets the feeling the anti collingwood movement is on the rise..becareful brothers they hide in shadows and dark corners waiting ready to pounce like coward mice on steroids under the floor boards.

They were waiting for our empire to crack and crumble...one sensed maybe a wobble or two but we still stand and gloriously so..I will suggest at this years AGM that we mount cannons to to Lexus Centre rooftop..i will offer free of charge to man the cannons.
Seriously with all the crap UMPIRING injuries off field indescretions the loss of key players due to retirement and injury..We have withstood the storm well.
Upwards and Onwards
well done Pies
Touch one and your dead should be our new motto Wink

Joff, I think they are scared of us, they see the potential we have to rip this competition open and they want to keep us down
Collingwood dominating is a very frightening thing to all the Collingwood haters out there.

We are on the rise

i think the anti-collingwood movement are well and truly alive. just read nick's after a loss - if they're meant to be on our side i'd hate to see what's awaiting us outside the fortress walls. Shocked

anyway, this thread is about seeing the forest for the trees. go pies.

Pre-Season: Captain and Vice Captain gone, Licuria gone, Dick gone, Presti gone ('til rd 22)

Round 1: Rusling gone.
Round 10: Rocca gone.
Round 13: Reid gone (Rocca gone again).
Round 18: Didak & H.Shaw gone.

...and we are playing finals? How can it be? Imagine if other clubs had lost 692 games worth of experience before the season started and another 432 more (Rocca, Presti) during the season..plus 3 of our up and comers (Rusling, Reid, Dick) and two of our most creative (Didak, Shaw).

In any other side this would've meant a slide. Congrats to the Collingwood Football Club.
