St kilda got andrew lovett for essendons no 16 pick, thought that was fair and even....but they couldn't accept our draft pick.

The Saints are happy to let him go for FREE to Melbourne in the Pre-Season draft rather than take pick 25 or 30.
Ross Lyon stated that what Collingwood was offering was not equitable....Um ah um, if Ball goes in whichever draft you get nothing.
How is that equitable?
Maybe the fact is they were happier not to let Ball get to Collingwood unless it really cost us.
Congrats to Collingwood by not budging. |

Very disappointing for both Collingwood and Ball. By all account the Saints just kept asking for unreasonable player / pick trades and then just kept upping the price.
You look at the Power / Hawks trade and it hit an impasse and it was the Power that ended up making the trade so their player got his club of choice and they got something for him.
I really hope Ball leaves the Saints and somehow the Pies manage to grab him in either the draft or PSD, that way he get's what he wants and those morons at St Kilda get zilch in return.
