SEN just announced that Krak will be given 4 weeks off to return home to deal with personal issues. I hope everything is alright for the Krak.

dont underestimate the role Leon played in Krak's success in transitioning last year.

Ignore all other media reports, this is a personal issue, and unlike the Herald Sun that is running with a "Collingwood has stood down Krakouer" headline, the pies site has kept it to what should be told to the public.

http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/newsfeatures/news/newsarticle/tabid/5586/newsid/128763/default.aspx

Quote:
After recent conversations with Andrew Krakouer, the Collingwood Football Club has granted the player a four-week leave of absence, to allow him to deal with some personal issues.

It was agreed by both parties that it is best for Andrew to work through his issues, without the pressure associated with his normal training and playing commitments.

I wish Andrew all the best, and hope to see him back soon.

Hard to know how to feel about this situation without knowing what the 'personal" issue is.

At the recent rate of losing about 1 member of the starting 22 per day, the 'Pies will run out of players before the home & away season starts. But all is not lost - I'm willing to put up my hand if the call goes out. Shocked

Very good point, E. It'd be tough on him with Leon and Brad Dick no longer at the club. Whatever his issues, I hope he finds peace. Whatever the outcome, I hope he's ok.

Go the Pies

I hope Krak is alright. I think Brenny is correct in saying that Leon played a big role in his transition at Collingwood last year. It was a known fact that Leon and Krak were very good mates.

What's with the stupid Herald Sun saying 'Stepping Down'.
