Post subject: Very good film on TV this Sat night (SBS) in English | |
|
Just thought I'd recommend what I consider to be a very good, moving, funny, sad & poignant film which I believe is on SBS 1 this Saturday night at 8.30pm. An English film called the 4 lions.
Worth taping if you can't get to see it. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

English film called 4 lions. Is it about the Sth African participation in the (so called) English Cricket team? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yes! Saw the preview last night.
Don't tell Tannin its on SBS, he'll just tell you how unbalanced it will be and how stupid you are for watching it. |

Lol, Stuimore a comedy about suicide bombers. Here's a trailer:

I haven't seen it, but I do enjoy a lot of Chris Morris's work. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Shame they show the sheep incident in preview. Bloody funny movie. Got it on my phone permanently. Some scenes just make you laugh on even the worst day _________________ " Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye" ? |

Usually 3, I think (though that could vary). _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Is that a fancy term for 'downloading'? _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

I'm not too far removed from that era
Doesn't seem all that long ago I was sitting up close to the 'Rank Arena' hi-fi, carefully pressing tape/record simultaneously while listening to Kasey Kasem's top 40. Curse those intros through the beginning of the songs!
Oh yeah and my VCR remote had a cord! _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

My parents first VCR had a remote with a cord. I had to talk mum out of buying a Betamax after the salesman did a great job telling her how good they were. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

My mum had a betamax. It was great. She made cakes with it, ice cream, egg flip, the lot! _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
