Mostly spot on. I'm still surprised that the Suns aren't a little higher after their scalp. The Lions are on a good run at the moment, West Coast has been relatively competitive but falling short in games, North are chokers but are a decent side though and Carlton's won their last two games.

Interesting you have the Swans in the top two along with Hawthorn. I can see your reasoning behind having Sydney ahead of Geelong. Geelong has been prone to some poor results this year, most notably against Brisbane and Adelaide when they were in winning positions.

I think I agree with all of that mate. Very difficult to fault.

I'm interested to see David's 'form' ladder.

Thanks guys. I haven't forgotten this, just been a little preoccupied with other stuff. This will probably be my last one for the year:

Round 19 form ladder

1. Hawthorn
2. Sydney
3. Geelong
4. Fremantle
5. Richmond
6. Essendon
7. Collingwood
8. North Melbourne

9. Port Adelaide
10. Carlton
11. Adelaide
12. West Coast
13. Brisbane
14. Gold Coast
15. Western Bulldogs
16. St. Kilda
17. GWS
18. Melbourne

Positions 8-12 still pretty close; reckon there's not much between 5 and 7, either. Everything else is just about right, I'd say.

More in line with my thinking too. Based on Bombers last two and the Giants game, they're lucky to be in the 8 on form.

Haven't really followed this thread, but can't see how you can possibly have Essendon ahead of Collingwood, when you have such a direct form line.

You could argue either case, but I think Essendon have been a little more consistent this year. Last night's game is more or less cancelled out by the Anzac Day match, so you've got to look at how the teams have fared in their other games. It's close, but I'd still have to pick Essendon based on their early season form.

i thought it was a current form ladder. how can a game 18 weeks ago be more relevant to current form than the last game?????

There was a good article I noted this morning.

Essendon haven't won a single quarter in the last 2 weeks (Hawks and Pies).

Have won about 2 or 3 quarters only against the Top 4 teams this season with the last quarter won against a Top 4 team being in about round 7 against Geelong.

This is a team who's form has been flattered by their draw. They've never really been a top 4 team as another thread had raised the question a few weeks ago.

So now that every team has played each other once, your version of the form ladder, which equally weights each game played across the season is essentially the AFL ladder?
