Saw Hine mentioned something along the lines of likely needing to use our 2018 2nd rounder on an academy kid next year.

Any idea who this kid might be?

^^Liam Holt-Fitz

Available to us under the NT zone we've been allocated, Barkly.

Can't say much about his football, but plays as a small forward.

Liam Holt-Fitz

"Tennant Creek rising AFL star Liam Holt-Fitz the town's first All-Australian, sights set on South Africa"

November 22, 2016:

Nightcliff coach Troy Coates said his charge had a lot of armoury on his side.

While speed is Liams main asset, the weaponry he has for such a young player should set him up for a long future in the game, Coates said.

He can kick goals with both feet, is comfortable on both sides of the body with his disposal and he can catch the footy in the air and find it on the ground

Elijah unfortunately couldn't cast a shadow in full sunlight. This boy looks like he is a good shape for a 16 year old. Chocolate thickshakes will do that for you.

As for height I had a growth spurt as it were when I was 17-19. Now I'm 5' 4. Wink

"In the Under 16 contest, the match was evenly poised at Half Time, before the Rams kicked away to win by 46-points.

Jai Reed booted four goals for the Rams, while Liam Holt-Fitz starred for Northern Territory. Michael Mummery also provided a good target inside 50 and has featured in the Northern Territorys TAC Cup side this season.

GOALS
NSW/ACT: Reed 4, Walker 3, Carmody 2, Close 2, Lucas
NORTHERN TERRITORY: Mummery, Green, Cameron, Kossack, Stevens

BEST
NSW/ACT: Holten, Rowston, Corbett, Blakey, Beaumont, Kelly
NORTHERN TERRITORY: Holt-Fitz, Green, Althouse-Cooper, Brown, Jungfer, Blake

My understanding is other clubs can bid for academy players so there's no guarantee we can draft him.
