I'd rather have Brisbane, but GWS will account for them rather easily methinks. This is bad as GWS are due for a prelim win- I don't want it to be against us. We will need to pull off a 2016 dogs, 2017 tigers

Last Friday night I got home at 1:00am!
Hated that 7:50pm time slot, so many people stranded on the footbridge as the platforms were packed & then no trains heading North from Joli.

Did me fkn head in!

Agree re trains. Same deal against Essendon in R23. And I was only going to Collingwood. Should have walked!

We missed that chance in 2018. You know we do things the hard way at Pieland.

I am confident against either GWS or Brisbane.

A battered, bruised and injured Brisbane.

They already will be missing Psycho so lets hope for a couple more injuries.

^ Thanks, P4S.

My guess is it will be Saturday twilight as the opponent will be an interstate team.

Hopefully 2.10 game Saturday arvo. Old school 😊

I suspect it will be a twilight game. Ch7 order of preference would be 7:25pm start, followed by 4:40pm twilight, followed by 3:20pm start, lastly 2:10-2:30 timeslot.
I believe the Sydney arirport curfew has something to do with it...I.e. if our opponent is GWS then it won't be a night game (as they can't return home before the 11pm curfew), so likely twilight; but if it is lions then a night game is possible as there is no curfew.

GWS forward line and midfield guns worry me more. Ideal would be
1. Cats take out eagles
2. Brisbane beat gws
3. Cats then upset tigers for a magpies vs cats GF.

One can only dream 😊

Makes no sense that our prelim isn’t on the Friday night. We beat the top seeds hence should receive the advantage bestowed to them.

Leg speed is a worry against either lions or gws. Would consider bringing in Varcoe to cover for this. If it’s gws I’d also consider Reid as an extra tall for flexibility.

Playing this game is fraught with danger. That being said, GWS's key forwards scare me more than Brisbane's.

^ I really don't think it matters which prelim we play in - just be happy we're there without having to go through a tough semi-final
