if you had of offered to make a bet with me at the start of the year that Ben Reid, Jamie Elliot, Darcy Moore and Matt Scharenberg would all be available to play in the preliminary final this year, i would have bet a million dollars against!!
Truly amazing.
All our posts about our injury prone list and yet today's side proves that sometimes its worth persisting with great but injury prone players...... _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Cooler heads will prevail. I sensed a resolve in that Qualifying final win very similar to the teams of '90 and '10. GWS just a slight speed hump on our road to redemption for 2018. Pies by 5 goals, min. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

This is it folks, the most important game of the year.
Both teams are in formidable form. The giants are playing dirty and getting under the skin of there opponents then running away with the candy. At least we know what there capable of. They will likely try and target Grundy obviously, Adams, and whom ever is first to the ball. I will go ape shit if any of our players play as soft as Geelong did last night and I really hope our coaches and players understand the importance of team first mentality and strength at the contest. We are a better team this year and we can win this competition it's ours for the taking. Forget Richmond for today and simply get behind the guys where ever you are today. we will make our own destiny because our boys and bucks have unfinished business and are focused on the job. Go pies. _________________ no second chances |

Happy game day everyone.
I, like others, am a bit disturbed some of the posters on here that are scared at the possibility of playing the Tigers. 2 things...
1. Lets just win today first.
2. Geez, fire up. We need to be in it to win it. There's no point playing or supporting if you are scared of losing. Yes, we have all found it hard losing GFs. It's all part of footy isn't it? If we can do it this year, it will be the best one ever I think.
I have no doubt this team is capable of a win today. They are a strong unit who play for each other. The heartbreak of last year will spur them on.
I expect a Collingwood that will not get sucked in by GWS' rough tactics. It will be US that applies the pressure.
I can't be there at the ground today.
If Finlayson kicks a goal then does that stupid 'shoosing' motion to the crowd, can someone please scale the fence and dack him for me.
Good Luck

Under 7 hours before we will be at the G. Consecutive games with a 2 week wait so it’s been nervy to say the least. Got junior BB this morning to tie me over and my daughter is ditching her game this arvo to be at the G. Great to see her priorities are with the Pies. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

I have an assignment due tomorrow that I can't focus on doing because of the game today. Ironically enough it's to do with hypertension, something I'm sure we all experience on game day! |
