Reading media about the club as " the Holden Centre" is IMO embarrassing for the club's identity and heritage. As bad as Etihad or Skilled or Marvel !!!!!
Surely we can do better!!! Richmond referred to as "Punt Road" is the way it should be. We're better / more significant them them in every way. Just cos!!! Very pissed off!!!! _________________ Woodsman |

Well, our club needs the money. (Just wish it would bring premierships.) It's far better than all the stuff on the jumper, I reckon. We should have three training bases, so we can name them all after different sponsors and keep the jumper clean. |

So you prefer we just call it Olympic Boulevard then? _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

It is embarrassing, and I disliked Holden anyway.
They dont make cars in OZ anymore either.
It's time to find a new sponsor!
The move from Vic Park is still shit too, the lose of a 'real' social club is damning. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

The Holden sponsorship may die a natural death pretty soon. Holden have just recorded its lowest monthly car registrations EVER (that’s since 1948 when the Pies finished 3rd on the ladder). Dealerships closing down all over the place.
Collingwood’s training facilities might soon display one of the last surviving Holden logos in Melb. Got to get a new sponsor before the joint gets a Heritage listing and we're stuck with 'Holden Centre' forever.
Check out John Cadogan for the car trade details at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIETK1qZWmk
(most informative (and funniest) Aust. car news channel on the interwebs)
EDIT: And in referring to Mazda (5:30) he says something that might equally apply to the coaching philosophy at the Pies: “They might think about perhaps dropping the bullshit Japanese rhetoric in western markets like ours” |
