On the back of about 11 fresh injuries in the last three weeks, realistically there aren’t many teams we can beat. The good news is that Gold Coast remains one of them.

I'm not sure Cox will be available. The recent criticisms of him may have hurt his feelings. That sort of injury usually takes 2 weeks to get over.

I feel that questioning Warburton Lad is a bit like shooting Bambi but I’m going to make one observation about Crocker.
In the last three weeks, Crocker has been selected to play against three of the four best teams in the competition.
I would suggest whatever he has or hasn’t done in the last three weeks is going to be an easier ask for him this week.
I think Crocker definitely needs to play this week, both on the back of our crippling injuries and the fact that he is at least “ seasoned “ against the best teams in the comp.
Phillips will “ always “ be selected unless injured. With respect, I don’t see how any potential debutant who is struggling to make an impact in the VFL, could be selected before Phillips.
Who knows, it might even be time for Broomhead to make his return.
It’s not like we’re playing world beaters or bench marks this time around.

Reported on AFL website that JDG suffered a "mild " hamstring injury against Richmond.(whenever is one of our hamstring injuries mild?) And Isaac Quaynor has suffered a foot stress injury that will see him in a moon boot. Both to definitely miss next week.AFL website now describing our injury crisis as approaching critical. I think terminal is a more appropriate description

Forget the percentage booster.

I'll be just relieved "if" we can get the 4pts now.

Mr Pies 2016
You are perfectly entitled to question my post.
The error I made waste list Phillips as omitted instead of injured (which I believe he is.

If Grundy is injured, we must play Lynch and I think Cox will benefit by a strong hit out in the ruck and (hopefully) clunk a few marks around the ground.
I believe that Tyler Brown will benefit greatly by playing with the likes of Treloar, Pendlebury and Adams- learning on the job.
Tohill is the interesting one; I understand that there is a case for Crocker, but Tohill gives us mobility and height up forward and would be an unknown quantity for the Gold Coast.

I've already told you that Cox hurt his feelings late in the game, so must be very doubtful for this week.

Don't worry, at the rate we are going, someone else will soon be revealed to be injured, and there will be room in the side next week for both Crocker AND Tohill.

Anton is way too raw at the moment. Keane is further ahead in footy but he's too raw too.
