Talk is Kreuger worth a late pick.
Lipinski should cost no more than a 3rd round, especially with Doggies desperate for points. They need to accumulate more points than us.
One would think that Sier is worth a 3rd round too, still young and had a brilliant 2018 season.
Not sure if we'd get anything for Cox.
As for Lynch, easy 3rd round pick, maybe even better if we sweeten the deal. Hawks are interested, they tend not to develop rucks themselves.
All this 'should' add up to us getting Lipinski & Kreuger, along with enough points for Daicos & Dib. We could always throw in a future 3rd round to someone for more points.
I still believe we should nab Wallis as a free agent, big bodied mid and resting forward.
I do wonder what would be available in the preseason draft thought?

So Lipinski is pretty much a Done Deal.
We see Kruger as a Key Forward but not got the Agreement yet.
No Link to Naish

Just on Dib, the way the new diluted NGA points system plays out and based on where he is likely to be picked, we probably won’t need to part with any points to secure him.
He only has to be called out after pick 40 ( which is likely ) and if we match the bid, then we secure him with our next pick, regardless of where that sits on the night ( probably in the fourth round and they have no points value anyway )

Not that I think we were seriously into him given the focus on Kreuger - Weidemen looks like he is staying at the dees.

Kinda think its a bit weak of him - which is probably the problem when he plays.

The Age is reporting that he has re-signed for 2 years, on this strangely-titled page: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/bom ... 58u3s.htmlMJ23 wrote:Not that I think we were seriously into him given the focus on Kreuger - Weidemen looks like he is staying at the dees.

And Melbourne has announced it officially: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/101 ... n-signs-onDespite playing just five AFL matches in 2021, Weideman, 24, has signed with the Demons until the end of 2023, a deal announced on Thursday.
So if we end up post draft period with Lipinski, Kreuger, Daicos and Dib (who I dont know much about) woule people on this forum consider that a good outcome? No big name recruit - but I think we all know thats not possible, and potentially not the right move now given the list.
I'd be happy - and excited to see if our new coaching setup can MAKE some of these kids into superstars (not sure if the old coaching crew were the best developers of talent...)

It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
