All Australians and all sports lovers worldwide should be saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Donald Bradman. He was the world's best ever cricketer. He was Australia's best ever sportsman. He was an extraordinary sports administrator. And he was a gentleman. Now he's reunited with his beloved wife Jessie and we are the poorer for his passing.
The calibre of the tenants in Heaven went up a few notches when The Don arrived at the Pearly Gates.

The only thing that I can say about The Don is the fact that all the special words to describe him have been used in the past over and over.
We're having a state funeral up here for him-and I'm going...may not be in the thick of it, but I want to go to the funeral of the greatest sportsman in the history of this planet.
And he's an Australian.
It is truly a fact that he will NEVER be forgotten by any generation.
