They came to play and did well with the ball, to bad their mast broke mid way. oops wrong game, make that a huge batting collapse.

New Zealand made some key blunders.
1. Andre Adams bowled so much garbage yet continued to play for a lot of the World Cup.
2. They fiddled with the batting order too much. IMO Astle or Cairns should have opened with Fleming. They should have stuck with whichever player they chose for the whole world Cup.
3. McCallum dropped a vital catch that was regulation for a wicket keeper. You dont give Rahul Dravid second chances.
But in the end they were one class fast bowler short and maybe a class batsman short of taking that next step. In a couple games they had teams on the ropes and were about to deliver the knockout punch but no bowler could help Bond out (Australia, Zimbabwe and India)
