sorry about the match report but seems my registration has gone walkabout and the bulletin board would let me post a report.
Anyway by now you know the result. It was a bit disappointing overall and the guys need some direction i.e. kick the ball to each other not the opposition.
It was great to see them play and John Fraser had a blinder. Brent Tuckey also played well - quarter scores were
1st 10 all (I forget the breakup)
2nd 3/6 23 to 8/4 56 (ouch)
3rd 6/9 45 to 11/7 73 (ouch again)
4th 11/10 76 to 14/9 93
We made a bit of a comeback in the last 1/4 and in fact got to within 1 goal of the swans but turned the ball over in our goal mouth, unbelievable they capitalised on it.
They were gallant in defeat but missed the leadership, although I now understand that Bucks has to be rested.
Go the pies - lets get it together before the real season starts.

Tah Ellaness.
So how is the old Hunter street? I hope none of the lads tried to pub crawl down Hunter street after the game, it is a killer. I remember one pub crawl ... no, if I start telling my Newcastle pub crawl stories this will become the longest post in history. Suffice to say, I remember being on a quite a few, but was on a lot more than I remember!

Sorry to say I think the boys flew straight back to Melbourne. They only arrived at the ground at 2:40pm and then went straight back - so despite our best efforts to track them down and buy them a drink we couldn't. That's why the match report was sooo late and a little confused, too many pubs, not enough time !!
Bye for now
