No question the greatest Saint. A worthy premiership player and captain.

Came from the Golden Age of Tasmanian recruits which included John Greening, Ian Stewart, Royce Hart, Peter Hudson to name a few.

RIP Doc. Condolences to family and his many fans.
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

Yeah, the Doc is gone eh, one of the very few Saints players i had anytime for, i saw him play many games down at Moorabbin as a young lad, he was a truly great player, the equal of say robert harvey. Rest in Peace Doc Baldock.

What's strikes me about that photo is Tuddy possibly looking a little too content as Captain of the runners up. Perhaps totally unaware of the next 23 years of heart break to follow?

I was really sad to hear the news he had passed, a true legend of the game, and a legend of Tasmanian Football. R.I.P Darrel.


In today's Examiner they have a poster of Darrel Baldock.

I think it would be a fitting tribute for him to remain the only St Kilda Premiership captain in perpetuity.
