Ok so there i am my first time in the cheers squad laughing along with the songs and singing the ones that were easy to pick up, can someone put a list of the currents ones. I still can't get TACO TACO man out of my head!!

Ps there is supporting and there is antagonising.I hope the idiot who used the finger in an obscene way and was clearly spoilng for a fight was a visitor. There are kids in the squad and if he was only making an idiot of himself. You know the one, black shirt black pants beer in hand standing on the seat about row r-s and as prime a candidate for jenny craig i have seen!
And on the 8th day, he created Collingwood.

Well clokeysneighbour i'm glad it wasnt you, there is nothing wrong with giving the finger and having a bit of fun but to do it with such spite and antogonism, in the first few minutes of the game surprised others around me. Also to wander around spilling beer on people wasn't much fun for them. Put it this way my mates and i were several rows down and still felt embaressed about it.See as part of the cheer squad we would hate for this action to be taken as typical behavior.
It is obvious though the vast majority wanted to watch the game barrack hard and have fun. Isn't that what its about!
And on the 8th day, he created Collingwood.

what Eddieforprez is trying to say is those that sat behind the C.S need to be careful because it will be the C.S that will receive the complaints.

Thats a good point as we are all representatives of the club when sitting in cheersquad etc.

However people in cheersquad need to realise its a cheersquad and not listen to the radio and expect people to be quiet.......its the football for crying out loud.

Edy i think you are wrong i saw the man you mean and he was only there for the first 15 minutes of the first quarter and i think from half time on. i am sure he is not in the cheer squad as no one could act like that and be ]part of the cheer squad. perhaps security people spoke to him and told him to keep a lid on it?

Close but no cigar.

Two of my friends left because the cheering was not loud enough. So they went and stood up the back to get some of the atmosphere. I stayed however as i enjoyed chanting and tried to make my contribution.

Im not condoning the sticking up of fingers at anyone but really Nathan Brown did it last year and it isnt anything out of the ordinary. Didnt Colless do that finger salute to Eddie ?? Very minor issue in the context of things. Do your children watch the wrestling ? If so don't let them watch Stone Cld steve austin as he always does that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes JLC, my kids love the wrestling and went lat year, but they know the difrence between playing and realty. For example some one waves a finger at you laughing and sharing a joke is no problems but waving swearing and provokng is difrent i think.
Is up the back where the nofficial cheer squad is? It was a pity if your friend moved in the second half when the maggies played better i thought the crows especially near me got loud!

bye

The unofficials are not the guys who stand up the back. The Collingwood Alcohol Appreciation Society congregate in M3 every game.

Well the group Shags was waving at was the Richmond Grog squad who give as good as they get. Its just a bit of by play between the crowd. Luckily you never went in the Outer at Vic Park or Moorabin as the by play was much worse than that. The crowds now a days are very timid.
