McGuire - Age Poll re conflicts on interest

Post by Joel »

First of all the topic should have be re conflict OF interest.

Once again, courtesy of www.realfooty.com.au

and another story re conflict on interest http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/2001/03/27/FFXG8F4ARKC.html

The Age has run two stories re fans believing Eddie has conflict of interest. Read them and reply!

Here is a section:
"Channel Nine celebrity Eddie McGuire has a conflict of interest with his position as president of the Collingwood Football Club, according to a poll conducted by The Age."

and

Another 21 per cent thought the most public face of Collingwood and the Nine Network ''probably'' had a conflict of interest. But McGuire also has a significant number of supporters on the same matter, with a total of 40 per cent of respondents believing he either ''probably'' or ''definitely'' did not have a conflict.

This report is probably or is that possibly a true indication of magpie supporters out there. Obviuosly 40% of the population are Collingwood as they would most probably or is that possibly vote for Eddie. Anyone who isn't a pies fan would go against him.

Surely The Age have better things to report. I am sure Eddie coouldn't give a rats arse.

Go Pies!!

The scribblers from the Age seem to push this one every now and again, they seem to think Eddie is going to rape and pillage Collingwood and footy with his conflict of interest wire brush. The members who voted for Eddie see no conflict.

Anyone in a position of power and/or influence has a potential conflict of interest, it is only a problem when money is pinched or people are manipulated and hurt. Piss off Age, get a new story.

Don't forget that Eddie writes for the Herald-Sun and therefore is a target for any Aged writer.
