I joined the cheer squad this year with the hope of sitting with them.
Tonight i was given ticket for section J1 row j no.15.This was a very poor seat with a concrete support in front of me, and about 100 yards away from the cheer squad. At this rate i will be in the railyards by the end of the season.
I spent 345 dollars to be a member of this club and expect to get what i paid for.
I have paid this money in good faith and have been treated like rubbish by the club i love. I will pursue a refund on Monday.Obviously they have over sold seats so it shouldn't be a problem one would imagine.

"It was chaotic tonight" is an understatement.
I felt sorry for members of the cheersquad committe, who missed most of the game trying to find seats for people who had paid.
The problems arose when people did not sit in their allocated seats, therefore when the people who should have sat there arrived, they then had to sit somewhere else and the problem escalated.
I think we had quite a few who sneaked in and sat there who were not Cheersquad members and people who arrived late to the game had no seats left!
What a mess! We spent half the game trying to shuffle people around and fit them in - even moving the floggers to make more room.
Something must be done by the Club THIS WEEK to give people their seats so they know where to sit!

Do you think maybe the problem could have something to do with something that I recall having been said at that Cheer Squad meeting back in January?stik35 wrote: ... I'm pretty sure someone (might have been Emerson) saying that the idea was that we'd all have a reserved seat but we wouldn't necessarily have to sit in our exact allotted seat. We could sit more or less anywhere in the Cheer Squad area, as long as we had a reserved seat somewhere in the area.
Did I hear this right?
Anyway ... that's how I remember it. And maybe people are just acting on that. If that is the case, then maybe it wasn't such a great idea. Sounded good in theory but maybe not so easy to implement in practice.
Same with the idea of rotating the front row, which I think is a very good idea, by the way ... but how practical is it?

The rotating of the front row will stay long gone are the days when clicky groups will gather on the fence and claim some sort of ownership of cheersquad for the simple priveledge of being in the front row...in any case the roating of the front row is done for the kids of the cheersquad its imprtant to look after and nurture the fantastic kids in the squad, this will not change ever!!!
As far as the chaos last night its evident scammers are loking for easy seats these people are not cheersquad members but how do we know if no one has a seat pass ?
Gone must be the days when non paying members of the cheersquad think they have the right to sit in a spot already taken by paying members, and you will find these very people will bring the cheersquad into disrepute and give us all a bad name, we know who some of these people are and when seat allocations are issued these people will be told to piss off from the cheersquad quick smart and will be lucky not to get a clip over the bloody earhole.
This current cheersquad has been an overwhelming success its a shame other evil forces are comming into play but with seat passes bound to be issued very soon everything will be fantastic.

Thanks
I was under the imperssion that seats were allocated to cheer squad members as for the first game i was given a particular seat in the squad.Others around me also believed this is the way it is done. If indeed you are entitled to our seat and that alone, common sense would reign.
Obviously there was chaos last night, but it does worry me that arriving at about 7 pm the seat i was given was way under the bowels of the northern stand.I will pursue answers Monday and apologise for blaming the cheer squad organisers in this forum. They don't allocate tickets i am sure.
Still it will be a privelege to be part of the squad and to unashamedly suport our great team.
Ironic isn't it that our side is getting together to be a fair dinkum premiership threat this year. Our administration also is the best in the competition yet we can't sort out our cheer squad seating !!

That idea of rotating the seats was useless.
Sure do it in the first two rows or whatever but just let the rest of us have our seasons ticket, with our reserve seat that states we are in the cheersquad.
Is it that hard really?! *baffled*
When the people that want to sit in the first two rows, sit in them, then their normal seat should be left empty. Simple as that.
If everyone could just sit where it says on their ticket, without carrying on like pork chops then I'm sure the seating will be fine. Quite simply, regardless of how things have been done in the past, if you have a ticket, with a seat allocation these people should SIT IN THAT SEAT. Not two rows forward, or back, or in the aisle.
Der!
Maybe this should be put in the newsletter that gets handed out?
And if there are people in seats that are in the wrong spot, they should be pointed in the right direction without haste. And if they refuse to move or give crap excuses get security.
