We're bound to lose a game sometime before the finals but I think it will be to someone unexpected, not this mob. Mick will have us up for this game which can be accurately described as an early season blockbuster.
Pies by 27pts with Sidey to have a big impact.

They've predicted a wet weekend but too far out at this stage to say whether there'll be rain on Friday night. Looking at the Pies' odds always makes me nervous. I was furious we were heavy favourites for the GF 0.1 last year, I think because I was being a big girls blouse and very nervous.

Anyway, I have to agree that if its dry, Pies by 4+ goals, but will be a little worried should the heavens open.

Go Pies!

Really looking forward to this one. The closer its gets, the more confident I am.

I just think we have much more fire power up forward than they do. Really, who would you rather have?; Cloke, Dawes & Brown or Pods, Mooney & Hawkins? If Pods is your best tall forward, your in trouble. He only kicks goals at Skilled Stadium. And as for Mooney, he is the classic case of a player going 2 seasons too many.

The only players they have that are clearly better than ours are Scarlett & Ottens.

If Dawes can keep Scarlett from being too attacking, they lose a lot of run from the backline, which will make life even tougher for the spuds on their forward line.

As for Ottens, well, he is a good enough ruckman on his day to beat Jolly anyway, so as long as Wood doesn't get absolutely smashed, it wont matter.

And as for the midfield, we bat deeper than anybody, Geelong included.

I'd really love to win this like the Prelim, only without going into self preservation mode. I can just hear the collective "Oh Shit!!' from the rest of the competition now!!!

I reckon it was a break the players needed. Now they'll play a more free flowing game plan.

Hopefully we beat them comfortably which will absolutely scare the shite out of the competition and put a few journo's firmly back into place.

We have far too much strength, stamina, speed, size, skill & any other important s-word you can think of.

We are the best and we will want to prove it not show weakness. Why doesn't everyone just believe in that, some people here act like it's 2008.

I must admit, I'm a little nervous.
This is probably due to Jolly missing. I'd be a bit more confident if he was in.

Nevertheless, top of the ladder clash, big crowd, hopefully the weather holds up & it should be a ripper!

Just please, please no injuries or stupid reports.

I'd almost rather lose a game with Jolly in the side....as would love to know that we have a capable back up ruckman that could step up if needed.

If we lose and Wood performs badly, if adds the pressure on Jolly and gives teams an opportunity to focus on disabling Jolly to crack Collingwood...fairly of course....

Another game, another tough week at the selection table.

You feel that Tarrant(if fit) is the only player guaranteed a return to the side.

If Johnson doesn't come up then he'll be a straight swap for Chris.

The biggest issue surrounding selection this round is whether we continue to go with the 4 smalls or bring back a couple of premiership heroes for some added size.

I expect Taylor and Lonergan will take Cloke and Dawes leaving Scarlett free to roam.

This scenario will likely form what direction we go at selection because we need to make the Geelong defence accountable as individuals.

So Mick will need to decide whether we try to hurt the big bodied Geelong defence offensively at the drop of the ball with a fleet of quick goal sneaks or do we try and match them physically and in the air with a couple of defensive minded forwards to quell there rebound.

Yeah that's rumor too.

I've heard he's playing, I've heard he is not.

We find out tomorrow at 5pm.

Tackle and Pressure so to turn over the ball. Match them in clearances/stoppages (their strength) and we should be too quick & efficent on the outside for them.

if we don't improve on our previous performances then I am sorry to say the cats might be in better form but if we come to play and switch on from the first bounce then I can't see them beating us ..but we can't afford a kip in the middle of this one..no sir-ee!
