Sorry Guys,

The reason I tipped 7 this round was not because I missed out on Collingwood, but wait for it.....I missed out on St Kilda.
It broke my heart to tip against them and all, being a social club member etc...
But, just because I tipped against "US", I did not want "US" to lose.
The Pies will kick ass next week against Freo. No matter what Tony unSHAW says.
Please forgive me !

It gives me no pleasure to point this out but if you goto Results on the tipping site & then onto Leading Club there is a ladder for tipping for various clubs supporters & Collingwood are in the wooden spoon position so everyone will have to pull their fingers out!

I picked a lousy 3 winners ... and one of them was Hawthorn.

But I'm very proud of my effort on Friday night. I tipped the Kangaroos to win by 84 points. Instead they lost by 85 points.

What an achievement. I was wrong by 169 points.

Honestly, that would be hard to do even if you deliberately set out to do it.

As a comfort to all my fellow hopeless tipsters, let me make this point.
It is a statistical FACT ... that it is equally as hard to tip no winners as it is to tip 8 winners.

Try it some time. It's true.

Alf

I tipped 8 losers, how I wish I'd done a reverse tip!

I'm on two tipping comps., one at a TAFE in Morwell, and one on footytips.com.au, can someone point me in the right direction to join the one you're all discussing.

Thanks

Seems like I'm not the worst performed pommy based tipster, although I figure my awesome total of 3(I think) will represent a season high for me!

Just goes to show, dipper, that out of the eight teams that lost on the weekend, Collingwood has the most fanatically loyal supporters (who can not bear to tip against their own team, regardless).

I missed out on the $50 weekly prize at work because ....... I tipped Collingwood! Somehow I feel I've lost out both ways, I've missed out on the money AND Collingwood lost.

I suppose 7 out of 8 isn't too bad though .....
