Posting problems - please read

Geez, that was a super-quick fix. Plaudits to you, Mike, and to AlfAndrews for repeatedly duplicating a problem which I thought was a bizarrely freakish schizoid one-in-a-hundred anomaly.

Your explanation of the tags making everything disappear, Mike sounds familiar - if you consider Tony Shaw a tag and that he put one at the start and at the end of his Coaching Career, the whole of Collingwood disappeared into nothingness in-between.

With Posts, I actually highlight and Copy them before hitting Post/Submit, (depending which Board I'm on) so as I still have it in the buffer if I lose it.

ScottieDavo, hitting Backspace and having it bring you back to the previous page is a Browser-thingy. I don't think it's a problem. I think it's intended, although I'm not sure what triggers it - hitting Backspace twice quickly or whatever.

Damn, I didn't a 1! I feel ripped off!!!!

Mike and Scotty Davo, the reason why when sometimes you press the 'backspace' key and it goes to the previous page is because it is a 'hotkey' for those who DONT (or wont) use a mouse! I think you can stop it from happening but I cant remember what to do off the top of my head!

Incidentally, I gather Joffa's broken your exclusivity agreement, by not only increasing the management team without reference to you, but also by undermining the value of the work you do by introducing equal interest. I've told him that unless his representation is put on to some sort of sound and recognisable footing, he won't be receiving credit for appearances on this site, but he just feigned stupidity and brushed it off. I suggest you move to protect your interests.

Sly your Tony Shaw tag comparison doesn't work. The tags only deleted the post if there was nothing between them - bit like ears really.

Thanks to Sly and CJ for the backspace info. I had a feeling that it was something like that, but thought it was just the machine getting screwed up. A bit like when you press the Tab key sometimes and it brings up the next application instead of moving to a new field on a form and you have to press Alt+Tab to clear it - or when the right and left mouse buttons get themselves confused.
