Met and chatted to him once after a game. Top bloke and very good player. RIP.

A bit suspicious that two Irish blokes both come out to Australia to play VFL/AFL footy and both get cancer in their 40's. Weird!

Sucks to hear about Sean's passing... : (

What are you suggesting? Hey?

^ Both came out to Australia at a similar time, at a similar age to play footy. Strange that they'd both get cancer at such a young age. I'm just saying it's a bit odd.

RIP Sean.

I feel so sad for his family, and I know how it feels considering only 3 or so months ago my Grandfather died of bladder cancer which is usually caused by smoking. Like Sean, my Grandfather did not smoke a day in his life. :(

Gee life sucks sometimes.

And to add both are Demons as well, just very weird.

I had not thought about that until now, I would have missed a lot of Wights career and only got to see the end of it. 40 is too young for someone to pass on, hearing all the stories about him and how people have talked about him makes it even sadder.

Robert Flower also had cancer.

Those 3 were key to Melbourne making the finals in 1987

Very sad, far too young too pass away. And I feel for Jim Stynes even more now, this would really knock him and hit him hard too.
