The world is at peace once again.
Call me over cautious, but i fail to see the point of playing Jolly this week. Hawks don't have a bona-fide A-grade ruckman, so surely Wood could have been spared another week before getting dropped?

I really hope Jolly isn't being rushed back with his knee condition...
Wood not named in the VFL side so still might happen. More likely he's being held over because it's a Sunday game and they'll train Saturday morning.

Whoever comes in to replace Dids will probably be the sub.

We might use it to rest one of our players, but the only players I can think of that haven't missed games or already been the sub is Pendles, and maybe Wellingham (not including KPP's).

Given the Hawks' massive injury toll, this really should be a blowout victory, at least on paper. But I'm not so sure it will be. As much as I hate to admit it, I respect Hawthorn and what Clarkson has done this season. Like the Pies, the Hawks are proving that sometimes it's great coaching and a great structure that defines a team, not just how much talent they have.

They have won some games that on paper they probably should not have, and if the Magpies take them anything less than absolutely seriously, I'm convinced Collingwood will pay the price. We nearly did against an inferior Swans team last week, and we can't afford a repeat of that effort.

That said, the Pies are built for the big occasion and I think they'll be fired up in front of a monster crowd. It will be close for three quarters, but the Pies' fourth quarter onslaught will prove the difference.
I, for one, welcome our new black and white overlords

The McCarthy omission is interesting.

He's been solid since coming into the team and his exclusion is probably more about giving other's a shot in the big time.

I do feel we need a taller half forward presence for balance and the door is now open for Macaffer to return to the side in the coming weeks.

I wonder if Rounds will be played up forward?

Has been playing in defence for the majority of the VFL season as he continues his football education yet he showed last season he knows where the goasl are.

Happy to see Buckley return straight to the senior side.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

Coming off a premiership and a night premiership, have lost one game (dubious) from last 16, we drop a kid that's basically kicking a goal a game, and that sort of comment is still made?

Richmond like.

Nah I'd say more Essendon or Stkilda like, Richmond supporters usually only attack their coach.

Love those changes; great to see the club staying bold and keeping things on the move.

DTM, three cheers for your man Roundsy getting his first game in the B&W.

Looking forward to the Fuzz and Roundsy kicking a few through half forward.

Great to see Bucks slot back in, too.

The outs are presumably getting a rest, though it's odd that Goldy is out as he started to find his feet last week.
