Congratulations to the new Cheersquad for THEIR performance on Saturday nite.The place was rockin all night and I swear on some occasions(particularly the 3rd qtr) I thought the stands were going to collapse cos I could hear the concrete stands reverberating from the wing.Never heard that b4 at Colonic.Great Stuff!Too bad those 10 goals weren't kicked at your end.Keep it up everyone.

This was a classic example of my theory that a cheer squad's job is to kick start the crowd. Most of the noise from mid-way through the 3rd quarter actually came from the area behind the cheer squad. The cheer squad itself played a magnificent first half, creating an electric atmosphere at the southern end. Then when the team exploded on the field in the 3rd quarter, the entire southern end went ape-shit.
Collingwood supporters have been too bloody quiet for too long. I'd like to think that the Cheer Squad is helping to re-educate our supporters, reminding them that it is OK to go insane at the footy.
Not only is it OK ... it is highly desirable to go insane at the footy ...
In fact, not only is it highly desirable ... IT IS FRIGGIN' COMPULSORY TO GO INSANE AT THE FOOTY.
Someone (I think it was ytry4) criticised me for only giving us 8 out of 10 for this week's effort. But let's remember, we won this game by 72 points.
When we can LOSE a game by 72 points and still make the same amount of noise that we made the other night ... then I'll give us 10 out of 10.

Joffa should get a gig with Ch7 as he was on the telecast more than Dippa.Gee Dippa's a real blight on the coverage.Always says the dumbest things and seems to enjoy interrupting the callers all the time.And when they do cross to him he doesn't have anything to report.What a professional!And how about the but about Richo having had a very good 6-7 months.What an idiot!Lets hope Ch 9 don't pick him up.Maybe Joffa should ask Eddie for his job next year.
