We won that game exactly as I said we would. Establish a monster lead, put the cue in the rack, avoid injuries wherever possible and just take the easy four points.

There was no purpose to a blowout, none. Sure, I would have liked the skill level to be better, especially in the second half, but that was nothing more than a glorified training run. From some of the comments on here you'd think we just got destroyed by the Crows FFS.

Some people here need to have a Bex and a good lie down. We won that game in a half of football. We are the overwhelming premiership favorites. And when it truly matters, this team will go into all out attack mode and no opposition team will be able to resist.
1. Gold Coast try hard. Full of confidence
2. Pies press up high for 40 mins and tackle them to death
3. Pies take over and build winning lead.
4. Pies rest at half time while 4 of our best players watch from home in bed and another 3 from the stats box
5. Pies put cue in rack
6. Pies try to sing song with some enthusiasm (try)
7. Pies go to bed in 5 star hotel
8. Daisy wakes up with huge bruise
9. Pies fly home. Daisy lives with ice machine for two days.
Well, at least two of you have got some damn sense.

In any case, the Gold Coast of Round 14 and Round 18 just isn't the same side that ran out against Carlton in Round 1, or got smashed all over the park by Essendon in Round 5 (ish).

These are fair-dinkum quality kids, well-coached by Wosha and well-led by Gazza. And the GC kids are top-drawer recruits. They ain't Pick 77 long-shots. At least 10 of those kids are young players of the quality of Daisy or Pendles or Tom Scully or the Reid brothers - the best bloody kids in the whole damm country Come 2014 they are going to be very tough to beat. Very tough. And they learn fast. They are not the pushover now that they were in Round 1.

A safe, solid win, Collingwood, against a team that . didn't trouble you and shouldn't have - but which can and will trouble any side outside the eight, and one or two inside it. They've already gone past Brisbane and Port, and I don't reckon Adelaide could match them either.

(Mind you, my budgie's netball team make better footballers than Port Adelaide, but that's not the point.)

 Well we'll put that theory of yours to the test in a couple of weeks Tannin. Imagine if we lost.

Nick's might actually become interesting all over again.

^Crikey! It would be the biggest scandal since Fine Cotton ran in the Commerce Novice Handicap at Eagle Farm ... or more to the point, since Bold Personality ran. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Fraser got 4 more disposals, but our Woody got a very respectable 94 supercoach points - a lazy 20 more than Fraser, so I think we'll have to give that one to Woody.

What about hitouts to advantage, goals, marks and contested marks? The only real relevant stats for a Ruckman.

Hey everyone! get a grip!

We WON by NINE goals.

We got the job done in the first half and kept the opposition at arms length for the rest of the match. Mission accomplished.

Given our outs it was a terrific result.

What have we become as supporters that nine goals isn't enough? It's like a bunch of spoiled little brats!

I grew up as a Magpie through some very dark times. Let's not piss on a period of utter dominance. Enjoy it FFS.

Travel to the QLD and win against a struggling side? Tick.

We couldn't do that last year could we?

Win by 9 goals, play crap in the second half and people are unhappy!!

This time last year we would have been celebrating a 54 point victory
This year people are complaining we only won by 54 points

Has the coaching merry-go-round started early?? Or have you been on the sherry Tannin

I agree they are well coached by Bluey Mckenna

the 2nd half was more about letting the kids have a go - Swan etc seem to hang back and let them in first. not a bad idea when you are 10 goals up.

The suns aint bad and they kept coming, and geeze their cheer squad is really something to behold!

i thought wood was pretty good, did some low in work too.

it wasnt that bad, just cold!!

Lacklustre, average match. Glad we at least won by 50.

...moving along.
