And who could forget Alistair Lynch (The Bastard ).Doc63 wrote:Yeah, like Carl Ditterich did in his last game. I'll never forget that. And they let him off because it was his last game!! Would have got 10 weeks now, regardless.4everpies wrote:A win with no injuries and no reports is all I want.
Hopefully Chad Cornes doesn't decide to go out swinging in his last game.

My 2 year old son is devastated that Harry O is not playing. I'm driving up with him to the game from country SA and he's very excited. He loves Harry O, even drops to the knees and does the premiership celebration as Harry did when I say "do the Harry O". All he kept saying tonight was "watch Harry O, watch Harry O". I told him Harry wasn't going to play as he had a sore knee and he said with a sad but hopeful look "Harry not playing, sore knee, get ice pack"!.

Your son should go into sports science.richo wrote:My 2 year old son is devastated that Harry O is not playing. I'm driving up with him to the game from country SA and he's very excited. As per usual 2009 - absolutely!Podpicken wrote:I kind of giggle about comments Didak will be fighting for his spot. Let's just see how he has settled in about three weeks time. I'm expecting he'll be gliding into the kind of form that would have him in our top 5 or 6 as per usual.
As per usual 2010 - well, OK.
As per usual 2010 - who are we kidding here?
Most of the time he hasn't been in out 22 best, never mind our 5 or 6 best. Possession count is down, and his once-deadly disposal skills have evaporated.
Will he be able to resume and, now that he's injury-free, play his best football as he did in previous years? Or will he just pick up where he left off, which is to say slow off the ball and questionable with it?
It wouldn't surprise me to see Dids battle to keep up with the game this time around - lack of a pre-season does that to any player - and be a borderline selection for our finals teams, alongside the likes of Goldsack, Fasolo, Buckley, and Blair.
(Presumably, if this happens, he will emerge next year after a good pre-season and blow us all away with his refound pace and skill.)
On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me to discover that he has finally overcome the injuries he's battled with alll year, and after a couple of get-the-rust-out weeks, Didak could become a real force, supercharging our side as we go into the big September clashes.
In fact, nothing would surprise me. We will just have to wait and see. The one thing we do know for sure is that only a fool would make firm prredictions without evidence to go on. So far, we don't have any. Saturday night wil be very, very interesting!

COME ON DIDS!
I know he has it in him... Just hope his body is up to the task.
