Hey, HISSY: I wuz there in SPIRIT! Does THAT count?
Now hiss off and go post on some other site coz we are all FOR Collingwood here. We have now had a good look at the very best the Handbaggers can deliver. (yawn) Wake me up in October, mate. Unless you have managed to poison yourself in the meantime!
Anyway 18 in a row to win the flag didn't sit well with me.
My concern is how the mindset will be when we next play the cats. I understand the game was a dead rubber and some players might have been cruising but after being 50 pts down at half time I thought they might have shown some pride in the 2nd half. We needed to have a dip,a bit of mongrel even if we didn't make any inroads at all. We gave in and that's what irks me.
Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy.

You weren't even there internet jocky!
I'm with you Hiss. We left about the same time. I feel for you down Corio way and especially poor Witty having to put up with crap for the next week or so in Geelong.
I don't understand modern football if you can simply turn form on and off like a light bulb.
I suppose if we're not going to win the flag this year, then it is a great blessing. Frankly I'd much rather limp out in straight sets than lose another grand final. This time (for the first time) to Geelong or Hawthorn. God preserve us! The bad days are here again.
You've been dying to write this sort of crap for 22 weeks. The build up of pressure must have been almost unbearable, like being constipated.
Absolute umitigated rubbish. You ****wits just can't handle the truth that we might not actually be the best team going around this year!
Just because I (and quite a few other) realist Collingwood suuporters don't accept your pollyanna view of the world, doesn't mean we don't love the Pies or hate losses like this. No wonder so many people have been driven away from Nick's when ****wit bullies come on and tell us what we should think and say about Collingwood every time.
Listen buddy, we are not the Labor Party.
I'll be the happiest person in Melbourne if we win the flag this year (like I was last year). But after tonight I'm not expecting it.
Thats better. Thats the Jacks Pain we all new & pitied. Where have you been since Round 10 2010?
Just because I (and quite a few other) realist Collingwood supporters don't accept your "the sky is falling" view of the world, doesn't mean we don't love the Pies or hate losses like this. We are just able to put it into perspective. 84 great quarters & 4 crap ones, thats all it is.
No wonder so many people have been driven away from Nick's when ****wit bullies come on and tell us that the season is over every time we have a loss.
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.

Just go to bed. It's boring.
What am I supposed to say? Good old Collingwood after a non-performance like that.
I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect we need to get quite a lot of delusional people a safety net to fall into in the next couple of weeks.
This is obviously a very flawed football team right now. If we'd lost by 5 goals I could have accepted the tanking theory. But in truth we were smashed and would have lost even if we were trying with our best team on the park.

Yea doesn't sit well with me either! I coulda handled a 40 to 50 pt loss but that was in record breaking territory tonight
Never disperse your focus unless absolutely necessary. Face one adversary at a time!
Guys, while I know it will be difficult for some, remember SIDE BY SIDE. It doesn't do anyone any good to start ripping shreds off each other.
It was a horrible performance but I struggle to use the words pathetic or disgusting simply because there was sop little effort out there tonight it't impossible to come to any other conclusion than we just wanted to get to the end of the game.
I was in the top deck of the Ponny and I tell you from up there it was so obvious what was going on it wasn't funny. The space afforded to the Cats players was ridiculous. At one point in either the 3rd or last qtr I looked down at one centre bounce and there we 3 - yes 3 - cats players free on onside of the square. If the coaching staff and players were remotely worried about actually putting in do you really think that would be tolerated?
Do we really think that Mick and co would allow Harry O to be one out with Podsiadly time and time again? Would the boys seriously allow Cats players 10 and 15 meters of space time and time again.
I'm a little worried but to be honest just itching for the game against Wet Toast to start. Don't be shocked if next weeks game is over at quarter time..
I just can't get upset about tonight.. But that's only my opinion and you're entitled to yours. Let's stick side by side and check back in at half time of next weeks game and see what's happened.
Just remember last time we took on Wet Toast, they had every single one of their talls playing and one Cameron Wood nullified both Cox and Nic Nat and we didn't struggle one little bit.
Jack Spain is 100% right. Keep dreaming people that it will be a cakewalk. What was delivered tonight was an absoluet embarrassment to say the least. If you think this didn't affect the psychy of the team, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Plan your holidays for the end of September because we won't play in the GF. As a Collingwood supporter for 42 years, I can tell you this type of loss kills a group of players. We may beat West Coast next week but we will lose the prelim; bring on Bucks.

All bluff.
IF we have to play them again this year it'll se SO different.
Ok everyone stop fighting with each other. Jack is entitled to his opinion, and while I do not agree with his argument about the club he does have a valid point to a certain extent.
One thing we can all agree on is we were pathetic and it was terrible to watch. What do I make of it?
Well I was shocked to say the least but now looking in hindsight and the way we approached the game from the changes we made to the first bounce tonight our heads weren't on the game. We looked more interested about the Eagles match next week.
I have no doubt we will be back, but winning the 2011 premiership is going to be very tough and if we do win it I think this flag will be greater than last year due to the fact we've had injuries and there has been much pressure by everyone to succeed unlike last year where we were slipping under the radar until we got noticed with a great prelim victory against Geelong.
One thing I can say is my stress levels have gone up dramatically and all the nerves and fears going into matches is creeping back into me.
But I still look forward to next week and I'm confident that we will beat the Eagles and get the week's break to freshen up for the prelim hopefully, but next week will still be tough for us regardless.
Can't wait to have Shaw, Maxy and Davis back in the side next week and let's hope Tazza is ok.
We have had a habit of playing like absolute shit at least once a year under Malthouse-the exception being last year.So i suppose we were overdue for a game like that.Luckily he coaches pretty well during the finals.
