Blair is a terrier and really improves our forward pressure which will hopefully be back this week. He's also able to score goals and help in the midfield. I wouldn't be at all surprised though to see Fas back in the side at some point though. Would be a great sub!

Getting excited now, only one more day of work then let the entertainment begin (and the beer flow)

Disappointed in the call on Faz and not happy to see Goldsack in the same team as Maxwell - especially as he was terrible last week. It's possible this is a horses for courses selection against the Eagles, as they do have some extra height.

Hopefully Goldsack plays as the sub as insurance for Maxwell, or to allow him to rest late. Either that or Maxwell could be the sub to ease him in. Either situation is not ideal. Goldsack lacks the offensive impact of a good sub, and Maxy's certainly not a good option.

For the prelim, we need to see Thomas in, Goldsack out, with Blair the likely sub. That would be our best team for the year.

I can understand the call on Fasolo. We already have Krakouer and Blair as small forwards, and whilst his finishing has been excellent, his work up the ground has been less so.
Well done boys!

Would it be possible for us to get through a week without another injury concern?
This one could be very costly. Cant afford to lose Reid for any length of time.
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.

Hamstring. Are you freakin' kidding me?

Can a 20-2 season be the year from hell?

If Reid is out with a hammy, that's his finals ... and that's our finals if we have to play Hawthorn or St Kilda.

What a jip of a year.

It'll just be a BS rumour. Happens every year. We trained yesterday anyway. Surely this would have been news yesterday?

These are two teams I'd not be concerned about with Reid missing.

Kosi as a second tall? No real danger.
Hale at Hawthorn? Again, no real danger.

Tarrant to take Reiwoldt (who's in awful form anyway) or Franklin (has a very good record on him and would have taken him anyway).

Losing Reid would be a massive blow, but I don't think there's any one tall forward who will seriously hurt us in this finals series.
Well done boys!

This is our best looking side for quite some time.

Bad luck for Fasolo, but Blair has the invaluable finals experience.

I reckon Heater might be just about BoG on Saturday. :D

Reid is fine. So is Taz. Leon will tear it up.

Raw Hammer wrote:I feel for the Fasolo Man. It was either him or Goldsack. Look at the team, though, and honestly, not taking 'underdone' players into account ... who would you have left out? It's a damn good team on paper. Add Dale to the mix, and it's looking ominous if they can peak together.
Hopefully they can all peak together on Grand Final day and create one great orgasmic feeling.
