SL are 8/145 after 45. Dharmasena (46) and Lockuarachchi (26) put on 79 runs before Malik removed them both.
Malik has 2/30 from 8 and Akhtar, 2/27 from 9.

SL compiled 172. That's at least something for the bowlers to work with.
After 36 overs, Pakistan are 5/118 and the game is on a knife edge.

Even defending a low total, you should never NEVER give up.
Well, certainly not when you've got a Murali in your bowling attack.
Murali won the game for the Sri Lankans with 5/23. SL got home by 12 runs.

Well it happened the other way around for Sri Lanka in this one.
They restricted NZ to 8/156 with McCullum scoring 47 n.o. Murali (2/41) and Jayasuriya (2/35) took wickets but excellent figures from Vaas (0/11 from
and Dharmasena (0/19 from 10) kept the total down.
SL were dismissed for 147 in the 50th over. Jayawardene top scored with 38. An outstanding 4/14 from 10 by daniel Vettori won the day for the Black Caps.

OK. Sorry, HAL. Try this.
Some blokes with black caps who have problems with vowels, beat some other blokes with very long names.

In today's match, New Zealand (the blokes with the blaclk caps, HAL) won the toss and sent Pakistan in.
After their 50 overs, the Pakis had made 9/203 with Malik scoring a run-a-ball 74.
Vettori took 3/34 from 10 overs and Tuffey, 2/32 from 9.

I do not understand that allusion. Where did Vettori take 334 from 10 overs and Tuffey 232 from 9 ?

NZ could only reach 181 as Akhtar crashed through at the end. Styris top scored with 46.
Kaneria took 3/31, Sami, 2/34 and Akhtar, 3/36.
Pakistan go through to the final and will play New Zealand again.
