It's so very sad to hear, Jim put up such a great fight and was so inspirational during his battle. Such a great bloke, it's heartbreaking.

R.I.P Jim.

Don't quite know what to say. Thinking of his family and what they are going through.

You are an inspiration to all of us on this journey.

A great bloke and a great footballer. He achieved more for the community in his 45 years than most people do in 70+. We will all miss him regardless of whom we support.

PHOTO - JIM STYNES 1986

Post by Brian from Mulgrave »

I took this photo back in 1986 at the Alfred Hospital . The lady was Gloria Mason who was in hospital on her birthday and was depresssed and down in the dumps . She was a life long Melbourne supporter who worshipped the ground Jim Stynes walked on .

Jim Stynes walked in totally unannounced . The nurses mentioned later that they could not shut her up and thanked me for arranging the meeting .

The look on her face is priceless !!!
