A very sad day. But also a time to celebrate his life and what Jimmy gave to the world.
I was moved to tears when I heard that his whole family and his young children were at the bedside when he died. That is an unforgettable experience and an emotionally wrenching one for the whole family, but one I am sure they won't regret.

Good bye Jimmy! A shock to hear this terrible news today, although we all knew it was coming it was still unexpected. If a super human like him can't beat this disease nobody will.
All my sympathies and best wishes go to all his family and friends. At least he was able to say farewell to them, not many in life are able to do that.
RIP Brownlow Medalist!

Oh No
When I heard the news I had to sit down. What a magnificent man. We should all do our best to help his family and Melbourne Football Club to pay respects to him. I just abused my GP today who laughed at me when I said we are not doing enough for cancer research. Some of these cocky doctors need a reality check. They have not got a bloody clue and we should not trust them so much with our lives. A friend of mine died last year of this shocking thing and the doctors butchered him and made lots of money for treatments that don't work. God bless you Jim the lord is with you now.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Jim Stynes was one of those exceptional people that transcended football loyalties and was admired by all, no matter who they followed. It is devastating news and my deepest sympathies to his family.
Rest in Peace Jim. The world is a better place for you having been here. Nine months younger than me, what am I doing with my life?

very rarely a topic with universal unconditional agreement on Nicks .
It's a credit to how Jim lived his life that this is the case.
Not a bad word about the man, the footballer, the husband and father.
A real example of how a life can be lived in support of others.
I hugged my kids when I got home from work and Jim has not been far from my thoughts since I heard the news.
Rest In Peace Jim

Re: Yes
DO it on the Queens birthday game. A minutes silence pre game would be good too.Hiss wrote:And Collingwood need to do a tribute match to raise money for his family. Hurry up!
