What does everyone think about P Smith being in the inner sanctums of the club, in meetings, at training, etc.? I think it is very good for promoting Collingwood, but there is a risk that he might give away secrets such as game plans.. I know he has most probably signed a confidentiality agreement, but money talks, as they say.
Anyway, his artcile for The Australian on the AFL website is real informative.. gives a good insight into how Malthouse runs the club..

Patrick Smith is one of the better footy journos around. A few years ago Martin Flanagan (another excellent footy journo) did a similar thing at Footscray and wrote an excellent book about it ... after the season had finished. Hopefully Patrick Smith will do something similar. It should be compulsory reading for any Pies fan.
