I can't believe that, halfway through 1999, there were people at The Club who believed that this man was the way forward for Collingwood.

I'm so glad he decided to go to Fremantle. As a result, we've got the best coach in the A.F.L. and Freo are playing that stupid charade that always preceeds the sacking of a coach. You know the one. Where the club assures the media that they are right behind the coach 100% of the way ...

Of course, they've got a bloody great knife in their hands.

Mind you, I wouldn't want to be the club that has to play Freo in the next match after they sink the knife in.

When he was asked to coach Collingwood he said "NO, b/c he wants to coach a club that has a future" meaning he didnt think Collingwood FC had a future.....
