Umpires in theory are expected to have integrity and backbone and call it the way they see it. Theory is one thing and reality is a whole different ball game.

I have never known a season with such grossly lopsided free kick counts.

A few weeks back the Weagles got 23-1 frees in the first half against Melbourne. Last night it was 17-7 at one stage. There have been quite a few games where a side (usually the favoured mob from Geelong) has got double the number of frees than the opposition.

What gives? Have the umps stopped trying to even the count up after half-time like they used to?

i don't complain often about the umps, but i've come to expect crap decisions from donlon every time we get him (he's no 1).

Watched the game curled up in bed with my boyfriend; beats being at Etihad, paying hyper-inflated prices for crap coffee!

My man hit the nail on the head when he said, " These bastards (the umpires) must be masochists, they seem to get off on being booed from beginning to end".

Tried to ring SEN to complain about the mauling that our tall forwards got at the hands of Dogs defenders but couldn't get through because of some St Kilda morons ringing to complain about the, "dream-run' Collingwood got in the Grand Final replay of 2010.

Cloke, Dawes, Reid and Keefe ALL got mauled in marking contests last night for a nett result of ZERO frees each...... a joke.

There was a close hard fought game on at Etihad on Friday night and SEN are talking about St Kilda's big disappointment of 2010? I am not surprised.
