Absolutely love the way he goes about the game. Have since he first debuted. 38 disposals last night following 35 the week before. Repeating myself from the post-game thread:
His linkup work and work rate was simply phenomenal. He and Wellingham almost dual handedly provided our forward moves from defense in the first 3 quarters (didn't really have any in the last ). And this has been one of our weaknesses for the year.
This kid is something special and the consistency of his performances this year has been amazing. That said, the last two weeks he has taken it to another level again. I've said for a while that he's the second smartest footballer on our list, behind Pendles. But I think I might have been wrong, he may be first.

Iron FrontTop is an absolute gun - 38 possies against the reiging premiers, after 35 against the cellar-dwelling Lions.
I'm tempted to give him the 5 votes for the GB Medal, but Pendles gets them for his 4 goal performance (including the match-winner).
What a draft 2008 was:
Jack Watts - Pick #1
Iron FrontTop - Pick #11.
Steele of the century! Suck lemons, Melbourne!

I was listening to the after match on MMM last night while walking, they interviewed Pendles and he was saying how he was shot. With no rotations in the last 15 minutes everyone had nothing left to give in the legs. Then he added that Sidey would have something left, he always does, he's a freak.Mossi wrote:^ Sidey is not going to be , but is already a gem! I-d love to get a GPS on him I reckon he travels 20km a game!
He's everwhere man..............
great endurance, very clever player. Him and Beams are the next model of Pendles and Daisy.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Sidebottom was a "steal"
He came to us along with Dane Beams and Beamsy has departed but Sidey is still with us.
What a great game last Friday night and I love his awareness around goal.
That nifty chip kick to Tay for goal and his pickup on boundary to kick one of his own.
Yes so along with him ,Tay,Crispy and DeGoey think we covered Beams departure.

I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right
Looked like he had a different role against the Cats, playing further up the ground seemed to help his creativity and allow him closer to goals.
Might be a sign of the future, Pendles spending some time at half back releasing Sidey further up the ground.
Its got a good ring to it.

Gary Player “ the harder I practice, the luckier I get “
Whay Pies 2016 said could well be the plan -- give the young up & commers
the midfield task with old heads Pendles, Sidey and Swannie the sweeping
rolls forward and back.
There was a piece of play and Commetti said "Thru comes Swannie in his laconic way"
That resuted in a goal.
Now I can, t wait to see us grow powerfull.
