afl needs to crackdown on head first diving at ball
i was watching the replay of incident, is it just me or does josh caddy dive head first into pendles leg to hurt him? pendles wrote an article a few weeks back about how players need to go in for ball correctly e.g. side on and bend over to pick up ball whereas and it would appear to me caddy looked to take out his lower leg before collecting the ball? things happen at a split second but i think players need to take care diving at the ball, similar to how caff injured his leg. not only are they at risk of seriously hurting themselves but also the other player. the league needs to do something about players diving in head first i feel. with players unable to dive in using legs know i think players are going in head first more. i think any diving at ball should be a free kick, regardless of leg or head first to reduce serious injury. players need to attack the ball keeping there feet and put head over ball as pendles wrote in his article.these kamikaze style dives will cause serious injury if nothing is done.what does anyone else think?

^ what really shits me is that I raised this twice now. Once after the hawkes game and second after the broken leg of rohan.
Pendles is an on baller who keeps his feet !!
So many go to ground.
He dosent, and it was a matter of time before he got hurt.
I even used him as an example of who in our side could have their leg broke like rohan.
