Traditionally the Majestic Plural (Royal We) was used by those in power to denote the excellence or dignity of themselves.. Popes, Kings etc and even in biblical texts Elohim (God) was not averse to The Jimmy and used it often scare fleeing Egyptians and such
So it begs the question.. can the lad live up to a deity? or the piety of a pope? the majesty of a king?

Miss Cloaking Device, good morning- thank you for the eloquence of your reply. It reflects extremely positively on you.ClokingDevice wrote:Traditionally the Majestic Plural (Royal We) was used by those in power to denote the excellence or dignity of themselves.. In answer to your question, even though i am worshipped by friends and family as a god, and have several Masters in Theology and conduct myself with the dignity of royalty I am, sadly, none of the above.
Just a humble Magpie fan who shares a common desire with fellow Nicksters to drink from the chalice of Premiership glory once more.
I apologise if my self-serving nom-de-plume has offended any on Nicks and will increase my self-imposed ban on Nicks from 7 days to 14 days. Further I will no longer refer to myself as 'The Lad' or any other title.
Wishing all Nicksters success at our big game today.
Maanus.

Ahhh Theology, the study of the effects of irrational concepts that release dopamine, it should be sub titled "How the man in the frock became my pusher"warburton lad wrote: In answer to your question, even though i am worshipped by friends and family as a god, and have several Masters in Theology and conduct myself with the dignity of royalty I am, sadly, none of the above.

I REALLY thought he would have signed during the bye, and put in a huge one against the Eagles. Now, I am starting to think something is really up, and he is intent on leaving. Anyone heard the latest on this saga. ?

No my guess is that this is just like the situation with Ablett and Scully who played out the year while knowing that they had set their hearts on being elsewhere the following season. I think Cloke is gone.......ClokingDevice wrote:Just knocking the other pins down to see how much we can offerPiesnchess wrote:I REALLY thought he would have signed during the bye, and put in a huge one against the Eagles.
