Seriously, if Cloke goes to Carlton, he should NEVER be welcome back to Collingwood for the rest of his life.

Eddies's suck-fest with Sticks Kernahan last week on EMT was the last straw for me. Collingwood have always been too soft. You think Carlton would have hug a love-in with our President on the eve of our match if we were struggling? No way, they would've sunk the boot in.

And that is why they lift for us, while we're happy to continually have our pants pulled down.

Easy. Pay him $700,000 a year for four years. Add an incentive to his contract: for every goal over 50 in a season he gets $5000. If he kicks 70 goals like last year his salary for a year is $800,000. If he kicks 100 goals he gets $950,000.

SPOT on, and eddies tin rattling for the scum a few years ago, to help them survive-pre Pratts dough-annoyed the hell outa me too.

Stop sucking up to the Scum Ed, they despise us and beat us, and think we are gullible dills. Enough is enough. Nice guys finish last.

Carlton offering him $5 mill for 5 seasons. With what money given they pay Judd the same amount? C'mon, don't believe that. Desperation from the Cloke camp. Play the emotional card. "Pay me or I may go to Carlton". Sure, f..k off then! Why are so many Collingwood supporters wanting to give in to the demands. He's no Buddy. That's for sure. Last year was his best season and while he was great, he was no Buddy. Please, I beg Collingwood to offer $700k over 4 seasons and leave it at that. If he wants to go to another club, good riddance. Enough of this media circus. Even Carlton is taking the piss out of us. They're just stirring the pot with Cloke to destabilise us. They will never sign him on. Not enough money in the salary cap.

Doesn't Carlton have a salary cap ?

If they have offered him 1m a year for 5 years and Judd is on 1m per year that is just under 25% of the salary cap for 2 players - not very astute.

Pies should offer him a back loaded contract so he gets the bigger paydays when he hist the Vets list.

Loyalty is a 2 way street - make him an offer and if they still don't like it - take it off the table and let him walk.

Spend the extra money on the loyal players.

No one begrudges him getting a good contract but he needs to sit back and think about the situation. Swanny, Pendles and Daisy all could have earned more at other clubs yet they stayed put and playing for less. What makes Cloke so much more special than those three? Nothing. In fact, I rate the three more important to Collingwood.

If he seriously wants to use Carlton as a bargaining tool than he can **** right off as far as I'm concerned.

Even suggesting such a thing is a *&^*(&%$% disgrace and quite frankly I've had enough of this bullshit.

$1m for 2 goals a game huh? Shit, Eddie Betts has a better goal average.

If Carlton can afford $1m a year for the next 5 without offloading some seriously good players, you need to hire a new investigator.

Man this has really gotten ugly. From a supporter perspective and a business perspective.

Even if he signs how much damage has this done to how Collingwood people perceive the guy. Every bad game will be followed with the line...he's not worth 900K blah blah blah. I think I would have to pull the pin on this board to maintain my sanity.
