Tonight should be the end of it either way.
Take it or leave it Trav and tell the old man to stop being an unrealistic greedy prick.

And if anyone was going to be on more than that, Swanny and Pendles would deserve that kind of money ahead of Travis anyway.

Could you imagine Swanny or Pendles holding out for a million large if every 2nd kick they had missed it's target? Because although Cloke is a contested marking monster, his kicking is woeful, and he is only doing half the job.

If he was a better kick he would be worth the money he's asking for.

As it stands, there may be better options. Has Kurt Tippet signed up yet?
Nice exaggeration there, he has had 154 kicks for the year, pretty sure alot more than 75 have hit the target especially as 33 have been goals and only kicked 18 behinds...

He would probably also be pretty close to leading the club for goal assists as he works hard and does everything needed. Sure we would all love it if he kicked as straight as Buddy does, oh wait, maybe not

The biggest problem with letting him go is you would need a ready made replacement from another club, don't see them available via free agency and we won't be getting them via trade, because there is no one in the club who could go close to offering the target Travis does now and no one in the club who could kick 60-70 goals a year

Sure some of our younger brigade might get there when they reach 24-25, but this side is in its premiership window now
33.18 does not count the ones that fail to register a score.

As for comparing him to Buddy....

The next time Travis has 17 shots at goal in one game be sure to let us all know.
Travis has also kicked 19 out of bounds.

It'll be interesting to hear where this goes, would be good to end it all now and both parties either get the deal done or both just move on.

They also say that Carlton deny any meetings taking place, and no offer has been made to Cloke.

You would have thought any media outlet that ran that story would have investigated more and not released a story that was false.

I stand by my original story on Nicks and he will sign very soon. It is a done deal. Thanks to all my supporters who stood by me when the garbage on here attacked me when i ran the original story.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

I recall some people on here were saying Cloke's performance on TFS was all hunky dory, I wonder where they are now.....

IF cloke and his 2 managers say NO to the deal tonight the club should say. thanks for your years at collingwood and good luck with what you do next year and beyond. FFS he can't even kick a goal or is 50/50 inside 40 metres and he wants to be on heaps of $$$

this for me has gone on too long. david cloke wants trav to get more money. trav wants to play footy next season.

we got 4 or 5 star players still to sign up and im sure they will take a pay cut to stay at pies.

He needs a reality check - he simply isn't worth the price he (or his dad) is asking for.

 we're here. well, i am. no need for me to suffer angst about whether cloke signs or not. if he stays that's great, if he chooses to leave i wish him all the best. he'll always be a collingwood premiership player.

I was referring to the line from that article that states the relationship between parties has deteriorated since his appearance on the footy show....
Which was always going to be the case.
