Was requested it be not public till seasons end.
Just a rumour that floated about today
If true then whoever was in charge of negotiations for Collingwood should be sacked
Why is that? Because they aren't allowing Cloke to F#@k them up the arse. I say well done Collingwood Football Club.
Cloke will become public enemy number 1 should he choose to leave the Pies.

If they are willing to let him walk over something so minor as 1 extra year then yes, they have $@&^# up

This actually makes a lot of sense. We keep it quiet, & he tries to win us another flag.
Wouldn't surprise me if this was true, its more feasible than most of the rumours that have come out.
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.
2yr ago the same conjecture was going on and cloke snr said we'll sign for 2 as we want to see what free agency brings. At the time he moaned about trav not being part of the leadership group and that a bloke at the club who had only been their 1 season was (jolly). This put the clokes nose out of place. He is pushing for all he can get and IMO he is going to take the freeo money and depart us. As long as he is committed this season I don't care if he goes. It's this yr that matters, not next, for now.

I understand the want to maximise return from Footy but this smacks of greed and a lack of concern for his team mates. Cloke may consider that to be untrue but that's how it looks. If he doesn't want to play for good money then just go and we will replace him with another willing body.
The apparent saga has left me feeling less appreciative of Cloke especially when others have signed on for lesser than market value deals. That will apply even if he does eventually sign on - which I think he will. He has handled this poorly and shown contempt for the club.
But forgetting any future contract it would be nice if he could just earn the money he is currently being paid.

Top post, sums up my feelings too. Well said.
