Staring David Cloke in How to Roger Collingwood
1990 Grand Final :
"From the back pocket, this will be probably the last kick, he need not even kick it, the drought is over. 32 years they've waited, let the celebrations begin" Sandy Roberts

Funny thing about this is that it's all speculation. People have heard things from others. With the amount of different answers, there has to be someone right!
No Carlton people I talk to (or read on forums) actually think Cloke is going there. 0.
Malthouse on the other hand...
Ever since that meeting, both parties have shut up shop to the media - hence the speculation. I'll wait till I hear Walshy tell me it's done or it's not.

For those who thought his appearance on TFS didn't have a detrimental effect on the Club and his form
The turn around is frightening.

Doc63, Occupy Melbourne? Now that's a blast from the past.
Anne, still a more worthwhile contribution than much of the last 47 pages put together!
One day you might get why we all care....

So, Doc, Debbie Does Dallas or Flesh Gordon?
PS, "Gums" is also good for a giggle. I have it somewhere on VHS.

A mate of Dale Thomas down Sale told me that Dale asked Travis straight up. The conversation went something like this.
Dale Thomas - what is the hold up Travis, you staying or going.
Travis Cloke - I want to re-sign and stay, but Dad won't let me.
Dale Thomas - looks like you will be at Melbourne or Fremantle next year.
Travis Cloke - I'm in a no win situation, I can't resign here now b/c of dad & I fear Collingwood will re-sign other players meaning I can't stay.
No wonder he is playing badly. His mind is totally cluttered. Remember last time he resigned for us when he was in Bali, Travis over-ruled his father then.
David Cloke has is eyes on the Melbourne deal.
The quite word from multiple sources now (inc some journos like Sheehan On the Coach and Brad Hardie who does the 6PR Perth Sports Tonight program from the 3AW studios; Mick Malthouse said the 7 year deal with Melbourne was on) is that:-
Melbourne have offered Travis Cloke a 7 year contract @ 7 million.
They will front end it.
So Melbourne pay $2 million each of the first and second years of Travis contract; while their team is ordinary, and then still have money for their developing list when they are up and running. Melbourne also get 3 first picks in this draft.
Travis and his old man can't say no. That is why they have backed out of negotiations with Collingwod all together and David and Ralph Carr will not return calls or no longer talk about it through Mark Robinson in the Herald Sun or AFL 360. There was a time Robbo was on about it every night. Now nothing.
David Cloke has made his mind up and we (including Travis), all have to suffer.
Everyone thinks free agency means, players go to the top teams. If you look at the NFL in America, it is the exact opposite. Players go to teams with Salary Cap room.
With Mitch Clark and Travis Cloke and 3 first round draft picks and lots and lots of salary cap room. Melbourne see themselves as set.
Forget Travis Cloke's form this year.
Next year, he will have a clear mind at Melbourne and with Mitch Clark, they will make quite a pair.

And if he takes the 7 years, melbourne still will be without a premiership or even finals appearance.
When was there last flag?
At least go to a club that make finals,
What a joke,
If cloke walks from collingwood,it will be up there in the top 5 of players walking from the club for $
Nick davis, jason mcartney, jack anthony etc etc
Players play afl to have success in premierships, not to gain short success in bank accounts.
If he walks its for money, plain and simple.

Geez one thing that stands out in this thread, is the number of "sources" posters seem to have inside the club.
If this is the case, the club needs to review their staff and re-enforce the confidentiality clauses of their contracts.
I wonder what the motivation is for these "sources" to pass on information, are they trying to make themselves feel important for a short time, or do they think the people they tell will not pass it on?

I will add on queens birthday game day,
I seen david cloke in suit with melbourne officials, and pretty much arm in arm with david neitz.
There could be some truth to this,
But like i said go to a club thats at least top 8 material.
