Well with the Statement and Reid Re-Signing they pretty much have said thatrocketronnie wrote:It probably is Dave but the only source we can trust in these situations is the Club, so I prefer to hear it from them. And if that rumour is true, it will be picked up by the media and the club will be forced to make a statement sooner or later - probably sooner.Dave The Man wrote:I did not mean it that way and he is a Great Poster but Its Obviouse this is 99.9% TrueThe Prototype wrote: No, I think he sees just fine, DTM, otherwise I reckon he does a great job of posting on Nicks.

If those are the figures and you think about what is left for some other top players your spot on! We will never win a flag with only Cloke in the team. The likes Reid Wello are really important cogs. Put him in the seconds and lets work on Paine Ceglar and why not Witts.woftam wrote:According to Timetofly's post he was offered 750,000 to 800,000 with a performance clause to earn $900,000 & knocked it back.
Greed - that is all this is about. In my opinion the club has already offered him far more than he is worth.

Whether he stays or not I believe our season is now screwed. I'll be curious to see his demeanor out on the field this week, it should tell us plenty. It's got Ablett Geelong 2010 written all over it but not sure Trav can poker face half as well as Gary.

HE should be dropped anyway, because his form has been absolutely shithouse. THAT alone is reason enough to drop him, at least Dawes is a Pie in his heart, he gives his all, he may stuff up, but he tries for the cause. !WITTY 35 DAICOS MAGIC wrote:Drop him,

Clokes interfering overbearing sod of an old man, has ruined his career, this moustasheoed old bastard should have butted out, give advice when asked by Travis, but butt out and let his son decide.
NOW its all fallen to pieces, this could cost us the top four, how the hell can Clokes heart be in it now. Money isnt everthing Travis, oneday you will learn that lesson the hard, hard way.
Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Maxwell said this morning that Travis is under heaps of scrutiny from the media and that he is working his arse off trying to regain form.Dave The Man wrote:Well the Club has Pretty Much done ThatJohn Wren wrote:i will reserve judgement until it is confirmed as fact by the club. it really makes no material difference to my life whether he stays or go.
I think this is a wise move by the club and shut the media up. Close ranks.
If Travis is named to play this week I see no reason to think he is no longer a chance to stay at the club.

I'm very proud of my club today. Should have done it weeks ago.
I now hope we sign up all of our required players coming out of contract, for what they are worth.
Then, at the end of the season, we can say to Trav & Damir; Here's what is left. On the table is a pen and a cardboard box. Pick one.

where in all of this does it say he is obligated to sign well before 31 october? even at season's end he has another month to sign or not.Dave The Man wrote:Well the Club has Pretty Much done ThatJohn Wren wrote:i will reserve judgement until it is confirmed as fact by the club. it really makes no material difference to my life whether he stays or go.

As a colleague of mine just said, he's cost himself plenty in 'after football earnings'... How much would a former Fremantle player, or Port Adelaide player, or whoever, get paid for appearances, compared to a former Collingwood player....Piesnchess wrote:NOW its all fallen to pieces, this could cost us the top four, how the hell can Clokes heart be in it now. I'm sure if he stayed a Pie for life he'd earn more post football.
Pity. He seems like a good kid. Just with a hopeless "manager".

This has been our big weakness for many years now.
Once upon a time you could not even get a statement from us.
If Travis plays this week I like our chances he will stay

Very True but With them wanting more money and we are Re-Signing more Players I can't see him Re-Signing and the Club can't eitherJohn Wren wrote:where in all of this does it say he is obligated to sign well before 31 october? even at season's end he has another month to sign or not.Dave The Man wrote:Well the Club has Pretty Much done ThatJohn Wren wrote:i will reserve judgement until it is confirmed as fact by the club. it really makes no material difference to my life whether he stays or go.
