Collingwood supporters yesterday turned to social media and even planned to stage a rally outside the club's Olympic Park headquarters, directing their anger at Cloke, rather than the Magpies.
They will head there from Centrelink I guess.

The media simply does not get it. The people as a whole just want a yes or no not maybe. The media are the ones that fire up the masses the bunch of self-righteous twats.

The AFLPA should be slamming the media.

Different situation, Bucks only ever wanted to be at Collingwood.

Makes no difference where he wanted to be.

I see a lot of people accusing Cloke of being selfish

He is looking after number one.

Nathan was looking after number one in his desires.

So was Luke Ball, Jolly and Tarrant.

Go blame the salary cap... go blame the club for not meeting the supporters demands.
contract negotiations are selfish matters.i'm not sure who else trav needs to look after in all of this. each party wants the best deal for themselves.

Everyone knows this will end in tears for one person only... The club and members will move on quickly.

Cant wait to see the reaction to him next time we're at the G... What a shame it isnt this week.
Beware the swooping Magpie.

I think we should just temper our feelings a little people.

While Travis is wearing a Collingwood jumper, we should support him.

He has every right to wait till the end of season to make a decision.

He doesn't have to do it on my timetable or on your timetable.

It is up to the leaders at the Collingwood football Club and supporter groups not to fuel the fire.

We have a premiership to win.

Brisbane took Buckly knowing he had agreed to a deal at collingwood. They had time to try and keep him and took the punt. They didnt develop him in any way other than playing him.
Trav is very different, obviously so.

This is one of those few times where I cant see how the club is possibly to blame.
They sign trav on what he wants and lose 2-3 players. They lose trav, keep 2-3 players hopefully, get a draft pick and salary cap room. They sign trav on what we can afford which would make him about the top earner at the club and could still lose 1-2 players.
His market value is determined by the club and list they have availible.
He is not worth at collingwood what he might be worth at melbourne.

And it is melbourne.

Its simply to cool down the circus that has developed after the Clokes' and the Club's injudicious statements, and allow Cloke to do what he does best for Collingwood which is play football, hoepfully free of presure.

Dont think so this time.
Suspending talks was always gonna stir up a shit fight and from what Ive now heard they had no choice. This will be spoken about every week until and through the finals. Will be no less presure unfortunately.
I hope Im very wrong

Yep agree
again, plenty on Nicks that are very upset. Most wouldnt take that to a game and shouldnt until he is actually at another club - then have a crack I will.
But while he is playing for the pies - abusing him will do nothing at all to support the TEAM and can only do it harm
Why would anyone want to do that unless they are a carlton supporter ?

Free agency is a deadset joke at the expense of us supporters.

Supposed to facilitate the movements of players? Pffffft!

Just used as a tool to get the best players even more money. The average player will see no benefit whatsoever.

This whole affair has been handled so poorly by all parties.

1st the clokes, taking it to the media and then Travis appearing on the Footy Show.

Then the Pies call a halt to negotiations...supposedly so he can concentrate on footy. What a load of s$#$T! All this does is open the flood gates up for other clubs to throw offers at him - hardly the sort of thing one would think that enables him to concentrate on his job.

What to do, what to do? Should I stay or should I go? How much money here? How much money there?

As for the supporters being angry about the whole thing.. damn straight we are angry! Not over a signed or un-signed contract for next year but because we are still in the running for a tilt at this years flag and our supposed #1 power forward is yet to show any fire in his belly whatsoever whilst this whole caper is unfolding.

Fire up Travis! Start kicking some goals, start winning some games and most of all, stop at nothing to win a flag this year.

What he does after that I really don't care, the Pies will continue on strong with or without him. Like any job, he is replaceable.

Did anyone hear about the alleged Rally that was going to be held. Probably mentioned by one bonehead on BF and the media has jumped on it.

As was mentioned, Brisbane's investment into Nathan was one year.

Luke Ball was seeking an opportunity to continue his AFL career. Ross Lyon had stamped his papers. Read David Misson's book for further info.

Darren Jolly sought to return home because his wife was suffering from PND after the birth of their 2nd child.

Chris Tarrant also wanted to return home and accepted far less to play with Collingwood then he could have got on the open market.

In all of these situations Collingwood sough to trade with the teams in question. It was only Ross Lyon's pigheadedness that prevented a deal with the Saints.

Travis Cloke is set to leave Collingwood as a free agent because HE WANTS MORE MONEY.

You can keep defending his actions though. I think most Collingwood supporters can see what's really going on.
