You're right, i forget how many games i've cost the team over the years with my opinion on this forum...Flashman wrote:But we won, Hawthorn didn't.piedys wrote:Oh great - our own little version of Hawthorn's game-losing egomaniac Puopolo...think better wrote: Was a bad mistake, but a first year player can be excused for a rush of blood thinking he would win the game.
He'll learn, you probably won't.

Just be thankful that Luke "I really like how such-and-such goes about it" Darcy wasn't in the box doing comments tonight, he'd be leading a lynch mob to the Westpac Centre himself!Brown26 wrote:Also wtf is up with the channel 7 commentators? They couldn't barrack harder for the Saints if they were on their payroll!

Mind you, Tiny Timmy Watson wasn't much chop either...

Lucky to get away with that one. Saints played for their season tonight, they were fantastic defensively and really exposed a lot of our players as being a bit wobbly under the pump, I'll name them (Shaw, O'Brien, Young, Seedsman, Toovey). 3 best 22 defenders in there which is a concern. We cannot win the flag with this team, we are just not connecting well enough, too disjointed in our ball movement. May not be enough time to get Dids, Johnno, Caff & Krak back into the side and match fit, but we need to if we want to win this thing.
At some stage before finals we need to show genuine improvement and stop talking about improving because from early in the season until now we don't look like we are any better.

A good win. Unlike the Hawks and Tigers, we win the close ones.
We played some brilliant footy in patches (2nd quarter was immense), and some disappointing footy. No major concern just yet, but we do need to pull it together before finals. Settling the side would help.
Anyway, the important thing is to beat who you play, and we did that. Jolly was brilliant (just about his best game for the club), other than that it was a bit of a mix. All of our mids had their moments, but didn't really put in for 4 quarters. Swan and Thomas were crucial with goals in the last.
Good first half from Reid but faded out of it. Brown was solid down back. Harry did a good job and got under Milne's skin - probably a bit lucky with that last play though.
Still don't think Seedsman should be playing and young's not a sub. If he plays, put him in for a full game. Prefer Buckley (injured) and Clarke (omitted) to both. Reckon one will make way for Didak next week at the least.

Well done boys!
+1 Same negative c.ockheads in gameday thread week in week out. Sitting in second place given our injury run and you want to sack the coach. Deadshits.pablo wrote:At last, someone positive!!!!Pie 65 wrote:Great win boys. Well done.
