Ever heard the tale of the politician whose party lost the election?

Well, it was election night. The incumbent government lost in a landslide.

A senator of the party who just got whalloped turns to his party colleague and says "Mate, how do you get over a result like this?"

The other politician says "Go find a sheila and, ahem, make relations with her like there is no tomorrow!"

Now, I don't subscribe to such a misogynist viewpoint.

But, on a night like tonight, the best way to find solace is to seek out a hated rival and kick the cr-p out of them while they are down.

We have had some lean years over the last decade but I don't think I have felt this sickened about a Carlton performance. I am flabbergasted. If the board sticks with Ratten I will be angry. Simply cannot survive this shameful night.
