R.I.P Bob Rose my Sympathies to the Rose family and the Collingwood football club, I was sad to hear that he had passed while i was watching Talking Footy, I was close to tears then, but I played my Cd of the Collingwood theme song and i started to cry... a sad day for everyone
I hope the pies play for him for the rest of the season and make something of it.

It's 29 minutes into the last quarter of the Grand Final between The Magpie Angels and their traditional rivals "The Rest of Heaven".
"The Rest" have seen their 42 point lead cut to just five points. It could have been worse for "The Rest" but many a Magpie Angel attack has been repelled by the late inclusion Vin Waite who has played a great game in the back pocket.
But names like Twomey, Collier and Coventry to name just a few have got the never-say-die Magpie Angels right back in the game.
The umpire bounces the ball in the centre circle, the capacity croud is going beserk; there can only be seconds remaining. Big Ray Gabelich wins the ruck contest and, in fact, taps the Sherrin into the arms of the rampaging No. 42..Dazzling Darren Millane who, in typical style, bursts through three opposition players. The inspirational Millane boots the footy forward...there's a Magpie Angel in the clear..he collects the bouncing ball...it's No 22..it's Bobby Rose, a last minute inclusion inot the greatest side ever seen. Bobby Rose turns towards goal but doesn't see the opponent who's about to tackle him. Seemingly from nowhere another magpie Angel appears and applies the perfect shepherd. Bobby is left in the clear. As his teammate falls to the groung after that great shepherd, he is heard to yell (with tears of joy streaming down his young face} "You're clear; kick the goal. kick the goal, Dad!"
Bobby Rose splits the big sticks with his stab kick. It's A GOAL. The Magpie Angels have hit the front. The siren sounds. They've won the Grand Final.
The Magpie Angels' coach , Jock McHale, hugs his assistant, Phonse Kyne and says "Mate, this is what dreams are made of...it doesn't get any better than this...I think I'm in Heaven. We're so lucky to have picked up Bobby Rose at the eleventh hourbut, gee, I'll bet they're gonna miss him a helluva lot down there where he just left."
Rest in Peace, Bobby.
