Forever Pies was sorta right - Paul Licuria is now one of the best kicks in the side but that was far from the case three years ago. The guy has worked his arse off on his kicking and is now reaping the rewards.

Richard Cole must now do the same as it will be the only thing that can potentially stop him from being one of our best in the years to come.

Coley you could do worse than to adopt Licca as a role-model mate.

I wouldnt say his is one of our best kicks in the side.

I think Buckley, Clement, Didak, Lockyer are our best kicks. Burns is also very reliable and for distance you cant go past Pabbles. There is also a difference in being a good field kick and being an accurate kick on front of goals i guess. Lonie on the run would be one of our best kicks when going for goals.

Licuria isnt getting to the stage where his kicking isnt a liability and he is kicking a few goals.

I thought Cole did quite well Sat night. He may have made a few errors but who doesn't in a game. He needs game time every week and he'll improve each week with it. His goal that bounced through was fantastic, the tackle on Brown was HUGE. He's out there having a go and if he makes a mistake at least he tries to make up for it next time.

coles ability to pull off amazing tackles on such a regular basis leaves me in awe. If he continues to develop and work on other areas of his game then it'll be worth forking out on a membership in 5 years time just for the soul purpose of watching this guy play!

Agreed, Cole's tackling has been invaluable this year. Like molloy, rocca, buckley and co. he's really added alot to our tackling brigade, much like Daniel Wells has with North. Good to see a youngster doing the hard things.

Yes it is, but gives you an inside into his mindset which may explain a few things.

"I always used to go out with my father when he took her out and he would teach me the ways out bush, how to look after ourselves, what to do and what not to do," Cole said.

"I used to go out with Dad a lot to the communities. We would just pull up at a creek bed, put the swags out. He taught me how to cut up a Kangaroo."
It is a great article.

It's a fine piece.

I'd be interested to hear what Culprit thinks the article explains about Richard's mindset - can you elaborate? - Weed

He was too busy watching James Hird show us why he is one of the greatest players of all time.

Not anyone can deny Hird his champion status. He was Brilliant tonight, he has just as big an influence as our great man does on us. As for Cole what a hack.
